Scholarship Information
The purpose of this scholarship is to honor a senior softball player and baseball player who practice the qualities of a student/athlete.

PART 1. CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
  The reciepient will be selected on the basis of the following criteria:
  1. The recipient must have demonstrated high moral character and behavior in school and community.
  2. The recipient must have an academic record which indicates a good chance for success in college.
  3. The recipient must have participated in extracurricular activities with emphasis on baseball or softball.
  4. The recipient should have demonstrated concern for others by service to the community, church, and school.
  5. the recipient should be a team player both on and off the playing field.


PART 2. APPLICATIONS

  1. Availability of applications will be announced each year by the Frankenmuth High School Guidance Office.
  2. Applications will be available late January in the Guidance and Counseling Office.
  3. Deadline for filing applications will be announced by the Guidance Office.
  4. The Guidance Office shall deliver the applications to the Board of Governors in a timely fashion.

PART 3. BOARD OF GOVERNORS
The Board of Governors shall be appointed on an annual basis by the Frankenmuth Baseball Softball Association. The Board shall also act as the selection committee. The selection shall be final. The Board will notify the recipient of his or her selection.

PART 4. Funding the Scholarship
The corpus of the scholarship shall be maintained by the Frankenmuth Baseball Softball Association. In June of each year, the Association will forward the amount of money to be awarded to the Frankenmuth High School activity account.

PART 5. PAYMENT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship recipient will notify the High School Principal, in writing, of his or her enrollment into college and request that payment be made. If such request is not recieved within twelve months after the award announcement, the scholarship will be nullified and the funds retained in the activity fund for a future recipient.
