Tri-Valley Middle School Fast-Pitch Softball
Who: 7th and 8th grade girls in the Frankenmuth School District.
When: Practice generally starts in March. Games start the third week in April and continue through May. There is usually one weekend tournament in mid-May.
Why: To allow middle school girls the opportunity to play a more competative level of fastpitch softball, gaining experience for potential high school participation.
Where: Approximately 50% of games are played on List A diamond. Remaining games are played at participating local schools such as Birch Run, Bridgeport, Freeland, Reese, Saginaw White Pines, etc.
Details: A season typically consists of 7 game nights, 1 to 2 nights per week on average. Each game night consists of two 5 inning games. Games start at 5 pm and are time limited to 75 minutes each with a maximum of 15 minutes between games.
History: Frankenmuth has participated in the Tri-Valley Middle School League for the past several years with very positive results. Most seasons have 20+ teams, from neighboring communities, competing during season play and in a season ending tournament where our teams have been extremely successful.
